"A Servant King Among the People" It was a long-standing tradition for the Royal Family during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to receive well-wishers, including delegations, prominent figures, and ordinary citizens. Often, the King or the Prince and the Royal Family would walk among the public, practicing Eid rituals in Baghdad or other Iraqi provinces. This photograph captures Prince Abd al-Ilah with a group of Royal Guard officers at Sarsink Palace in northern Iraq. Featured in the photo: First Lieutenant Qais Ismail. Lieutenant Yousif Taher Al-Wahab. Prince Abd al-Ilah bin Ali. Lieutenant Mahmoud Mustafa. Lieutenant Colonel Abd al-Qadir Mahmoud (Personal Aide to the Prince).
