A Sporting Mission to the Soviet Union: Moscow and Yerevan"

In accordance with the military sports protocol established between Iraq and the Soviet Union more than fifty years ago, we set off for Moscow and then to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Several basketball matches were held between the Iraqi and Armenian military teams, and the victories were secured by the Iraqi side. The host team warmly welcomed the Iraqi delegation, taking us on recreational tours throughout the city. We returned to Iraq after a week filled with memorable events and sporting achievements.
