"The King’s Eid Among the People" It was a long-standing tradition for the Royal Family during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to receive well-wishers, including official delegations, prominent figures, dignitaries, and ordinary citizens. Often, the King or the Prince, along with the Royal Family, would go out among the public, touring and practicing Eid traditions in Baghdad or other Iraqi provinces. This photograph captures Prince Abd al-Ilah with a group of Royal Guard officers at Sarsink Palace in northern Iraq. Featured in the photo: First Lieutenant Qais Ismail. Lieutenant Yousif Taher Al-Wahab. Prince Abd al-Ilah bin Ali. Lieutenant Mahmoud Mustafa. Lieutenant Colonel Abd al-Qadir Mahmoud (Personal Aide to the Prince).
